A lot of people don't know but there's a place in Barcelona where we can find some wreckage of a set of bunkers from the Spanish Civil War period. They're located at the top of Turó de la Rovira in the Carmel neighborhood with a height of 262 meters and they were built in 1938 to guarantee a 360º view of the city.

All I can tell is: after making the climb to where the remains are (not very accessible due to the lack of stairs) we can see, literally, the whole city at our feet.

How to get there? You can use the bus (24, V17, 92, 114 or 119) or you can use the blue line (L5) leaving at El Coll/La Teixonera. Personal tip: it's better to use the bus, since the metro station is quite far from the bunkers. From the last stop of the bus you just need to climb the hill.

When to go? The best time is at the end of the day. Watching the sunset from the top of the hill turns Barcelona (even more) beautiful.

It's definitely a place to (always) come back!
