'WHERE THE RIVER AND THE MOUNTAINS MEET, DORNES'

by - outubro 08, 2018

Dornes is a small peninsula bordered by the Zêzere, which delights us with its balance between history and nature, being full of wonderful corners to discover.

Inside this small village you can find a mysterious templar tower, a church dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Pranto (its construction was ordered by Queen Santa Isabel during the thirteenth century) and a lovely river beach, where you can ride a canoe and/or a river gull.

I must confess that with each click I tried to understand a little more about the history of that beautiful place. Some people say that Dornes is where the inner center of Liz-Fatima is located, which is a planetary center that prepares the Earth for a New Age. The truth is: if there's really any mystery, it remains hidden and well kept!

The only thing I can really say is: the beauty of the landscape and the immense peace that is breathed along its banks make this small village a perfect destination for any tourist who searches for comforting both body and soul.

Undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful villages from Portugal!
